Sanitation District No. 1 shall, within its territory, be responsible for the collection and disposal of sewerage and other liquid waste produced within the district and to do all things necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes of a Sanitation District, in accordance with KRS Chapter 220.

Terms of Service |

In accordance with KRS 220.140, the county with the most populous shall have four (4) appointments and each of the remaining counties shall have two (2) appointments appointed by the County Judge Executive with approval of the Fiscal Court. Appointment shall be for a term of four (4) years, and no member shall be associated with any privately owned utility operating within the district.
