The Kentucky agency for Substance Abuse Policy was created by the General Assembly in 2000. The vision of the KY-ASAP is to create a Commonwealth of healthy communities. The statewide mission is to promote the reduction of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use, through competitive research based state and county strategies.

The County Judge/Executive, with Fiscal Court approval, shall appoint one (1) member.
